Application Identifiers

Some barcode formats allow you code multiple fields (eg product number and expiration date) in one code.

These are:

• EAN-128
• GS1 Datamatrix
• GS1 Databar Expanded

We use the following syntax:

(01)12345678901234(17)123456

LPSNG validates the application identifiers (number in brackets) and the field length of it's content before printing. The barcode is not printed if an error has been detected.
